Coda-Slider with Autoplay or Auto slider Code - Jquery Slider

View Demo | Download Source

Hi All,
While reading along in some of the forums (located here: http://www.ndoherty.com/blog/2007/10/29/coda-slider-11/), I noticed some are wanting an “auto-slide” feature for this thing (great job by the way Niall Doherty).

Here’s how you do it:

Modify the js code included in the page’s header into this:

"User script tag here"
var count =1;
jQuery(window).bind("load", function() {jQuery("div#slider1").codaSlider(); setInterval("moreSnow()", 2000);});
function moreSnow()
{
if (count < 4)
{
$("#panel"+count).click();

count = count +1;
}
else
{
count = 1;
}

}

here you change if (count < 4) number of banners as per your banner count like if you have 5 banners then put 6 here and if you have 6 then put 7 i have 3 banners so i put 4

also change the body section
Panel 1

i add the id="panel1" in the code that will use for auto click in the javascript

now just change all panel id and save it and run the code your autoslider is ready

  1. Hey thanks for posting this up, I am desperately trying to get coda slider to autoslide on a site im doing for a friend.

    It is built into the viewport theme (http://labs.paulicio.us/viewport/#1)

    I dont seem to be able to get it to work still.

    not sure what im doing wrong. The header only has the following code:

    jQuery(window).bind("load", function() {
    jQuery("div#mid").codaSlider()
    });

    The rest is in a js file.

  2. Hi i have seen your code, you did not start the coda slider automatically

    jQuery(window).bind("load", function() {
    jQuery("div#mid").codaSlider()
    });

    this function has bind but did not recall again through set interval you can recall it

    if you check out my code that i have done the updates you will see i will update the div # number that will be call on each set interval code

    Your code must be like this

    var count =1;
    jQuery(window).bind("load", function() {jQuery("div#mid").codaSlider(); setInterval("moreSnow()", 2000);});
    function moreSnow()
    {
    if (count < 4)
    {
    $("#panel"+count).click();

    count = count +1;
    }
    else
    {
    count = 1;
    }

    }

    please download the source file which i have uploaded

    even the download URL is present under the title

  3. Hi,

    I'm having a problem with Coda-Slider.1.1.1 in IE9. The tabs don't load at all and only shows a 'loading' message.

    Any fix for this?

    Thanks
